Tucked away on a quiet road in the river community of Blue Ridge Acres, this cabin sits unassuming and inviting in the midst of all the wildlife and trees. The exterior siding was installed a few years ago but don’t let it fool you in to thinking it’s just a cottage, because underneath the siding is the original log exterior. Inside, all the exterior walls are log for a cozy, warm, cabin feel. The main room boasts a brick fireplace and plenty of room for comfortable furniture to settle in to and read a good book or take a nap. Two bedrooms are off the main room, and well as the updated full bath. Beyond the main room is the rustic kitchen that looks out on the the back yard and forest, where you can hear and see the many birds who frequent the property. Step out from the kitchen on to the deck to enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the quiet, then pack your lunch and head to the community river lot to enjoy the beautiful Shenandoah. If you don’t feel like jumping on the river, the community has a pool to enjoy and holds several community events at the clubhouse every year.
